MRI Technology at AMI is delivered in a large windowed room using a new Siemens 1.5 Telsa MRI which is wider and shorter for improved patient comfort. Unlike less powerful, "open" magnets, our MRI unit is a high field strength magnet that provides clear, sharp images so our radiologists can make the most accurate diagnosis. Patients feel more relaxed in our unit because they are able to listen to the radio or their own cd's through headphones, making the sounds MRI units make non-existent.

New innovations in MRI technology at AMI are enabling patients to undergo MR angiography result in less risk and more comfort than traditional invasive procedures.

Breast care at AMI offers unparalleled service in our area. All screening and diagnostic mammograms are read immediately and the results shared with you before you leave, relieving anxiety and call back examinations. In addition, our radiologists use a computer aided detection system called iCAD to further enhance their ability to detect cancer. Clinical studies have shown that this "second set of eyes" on your mammogram improves detection rate of breast cancer by 20%. Should there be a suspicious finding on your mammogram, a breast ultrasound and biopsy can be performed.

CT exams and procedures are accquired by a Siemen's Somatom Sensation which harmonizes rapid acquisitions of scans with excellent image quality. Hence, patient exposure to radiation and table time are drastically cut for patient comfort and safety. The excellent image quality that our scanner provides enables our radiologists to diagnose patients exams with ease.

Nuclear Medicine

AMI's Siemen's Acuson ultrasound unit provides accurate image quality in every application. As a result, the most subtle pathologies become clearer and anatomical detail becomes more apparent. Therefore, even in the most technically difficult cases, physicians are able to diagnose rapidly and with greater confidence. After a patients examination is complete the images are read immediately and the results shared with you before you leave, relieving anxiety and call back examinations.
